Refresh and Repair with a January Detox

January is the perfect time of year to regroup, refresh and begin to repair any damage following the festive season. A few of the basics we can all do is to drink plenty of water, exercise, try to have an adequate amount of quality sleep, eat less sugar and more wholesome foods.

There are products that can help your body cleanse

One of the best combinations of products to use for a deep January detox is Viridian Fibre Complex with FOS, Milk Thistle Tincture and Organic Cleavers Tincture. The Fibre Complex is specifically formulated combination of dietary fibres with added prebiotic to encourage friendly bacteria. Milk Thistle is traditionally used to prevent and treat liver damage and Cleavers is a lymphatic tonic with useful diuretic and detoxification effects. Together they offer your body a thorough cleanse.

If your skin is suffering the effects of too much over-indulgence try Viridian Clear Skin Complex. It is a specifically formulated blend of minerals, botanicals and fat-soluble carotenoids in a base of probiotics, to promote clear, fresh-looking skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar is traditionally used to help detox and support weight loss as it helps maintain normal fluid balance and support digestion. You can make a detox drink by mixing together the following ingredients.

1 cup cooled boiled water
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger, or ground ginger
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon raw honey

Alternatively, New Nordic Apple Cider tablets are convenient to take and have no strong taste often associated with liquid Apple Cider Vinegar. Taken alongside A Vogel Milk Thistle tablets they can help detox and may heal liver damage.
