Shay Kearney
Qualified nutritionist
Shay Kearney has worked in the area of health promotion for almost twenty years and much of her work centres around dispelling the mythology about food and what is considered to be a healthy diet.
“As a nutrition therapist each individual is treated as just that – no two people are the same and what may be classified as healthy food for many may be detrimental to the health of some,” she said.
Shay said the role of the nutrition therapist is to identify nutritional shortfalls potentially leading to disease and this is achieved through consultation and, when necessary, specific biochemical tests.
“I continue to be amazed by the human body’s capacity to heal itself given the right tools. Sometimes by making relatively small adjustments to the diet and lifestyle many people have experienced profound benefits,” she said.
She has worked with clients suffering with a range of complaints including Fi- bromyalgia, IBS, IBD, Arthritis, food intolerances, Asthma, Eczema, low immunity, Cancer and Obesity. Shay is now offering DNA Testing to generate unique dietary plans for individuals. Find out more about Gene Testing by clicking here.
